Jobs & Roles in ECE/Internationally

ISSA is a vibrant network that connects professionals and non-profit organizations working in the field of early childhood development. Established in the Netherlands in 1999, ISSA’s community today stretches across the globe with its more than 50 members primarily located in Europe and Central Asia. Building upon the Step by Step Program initiated by the Open Society Foundations in 1994, ISSA aims to ensure equal access to quality care and education for all young children from 0 to 10 years old.
After thoroughly reading through ISSA's website and becoming familiar with their services and mission I  chose this organization because they want quality care for children, educate parents and community, also emphasize the role of the teacher's advocators etc.

As I began to read FHI 360's education services, I became very much interested in this organization. In the education services department the following are offered: FHI 360 serves the United States as a central source of information on a wide variety of topics related to disabilities in infants, toddlers, children and youth.Another project that caught my attention is the National Dissemination Center for Children with Disabilities (NICHCY) provides information to parents, communities, educators and the general public on specific disabilities; programs and services for infants, children and youth; U.S. special education law; and effective educational practices. NICHCY also offers links to state agencies, parent groups and organizations around the country that offer assistance and information. This particular organization has many job opportunities in many foreign countries including: vietnam, bangledash, africa, liberia, and lesotho. These consultant positions are part time and are short term.

Save the children-gives children in the U.S. and around the world what every child deserves- a healthy start, the opportunity to learn and protection from harm. When disaster strikes, we put children first.

  1. Tinka,
I appreciate that you for found some organizations that were not on the list that Dr. Dartt gave us with our assignment. Both FHI 360 and NICHCY sound like wonderful organizations with a focus on working for children with disabilities. I will have to bookmark those websites so that I can access them in the future! Thank you!
