When looking at this without hearing what their conversation is I would assume that they would know each other well because their initial reaction is to hug each other.Their facial expressions show that they are concerned for each other that they have a history together, it may be a friendship or even that they are related.
After watching the scene with the volume up, I can see that character on the left was telling her friend that her child was getting bullied by the other woman's child. The other woman seems concerned and upset about the entire situation. If I had been watching the show on a regular basis I would know exactly what was happening. It is funny to see how we can assume if we aren't informed completely.
Tinka,
ReplyDeleteYou're good with your blog posts!! Me, not so much. I still have tremendous trouble sometimes with cutting and pasting. You should see the verbal and nonverbal behavior that I display when I'm frustrated with it. 🤣
But, back to your post: you are correct, sometimes our assumptions can be wrong. Think about the movie The Godfather; all of those hugs seemed (from the outside looking in) like there was so much LOVE being shared. However, anyone with the slightest knowledge of this masterpiece would quickly tell you those hugs were the prelude to death. So, YES! Sometimes what we see isn't always how things are!
