REFLECTING ON LEARNING

Upon completion of this course my hope and passion for the families and children that I work with is to provide an  environment where students and families can be accepting of each other. After reviewing this weeks media segment, what really impacted me was a statement,"it's not because we're different, it's being treated badly because of those differences", Olsen. I want to provide my students and families with the skills that will help them to be accepting of others differences, making them accepting towards others.

Also good luck to all of my classmates, Happy Holiday to you all wishing each of you the best in the New Year and with all of your accomplishments. And to Professor Schonleber, A BIG THANKS for all you have done for me, thanks for your patience, understanding and feedback.

  1. Tinka,
We have come very far in our studies and I see from your post, we want the same for our students. It is my hope that one day differences are embraced instead of ignored and I hope families learn to appreciate that. I wish you all the best in future endeavors and Happy Holidays to you!!!! Enjoy!!

  2. Hi Tinka,
It's been great working with you during the program. Good luck to you. I loved the media segment this week because it really hit home about the importance of what we do as anti-bias educators. Have a great holiday! :-)

  4. Hi Tinka,
This quote was also one of my favorites! And the more I hear it, the more I realize my duty as a professional in this field. I am glad to see us all prosper as educators and cannot wait to see us at the finish line. Again, Thank-you for all that you've given as well. Hope to see you at graduation! :)
